HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

                                                    Happy Mothers Day
Our wonderful Mothers in the housekeeping Department.

I would like to congratulate all the Mothers that are with us at Grand Caribe. I hope each and every one of you beautiful Mothers are having a wonderful day.

Lets take a moment to Thank that wonderful Mother of ours for everything that they have done for us.

To My Mother
For all the times you gently picked me up,
When I fell down,
For all the times you tied my shoes
And tucked me into bed,
Or needed something
But put me first instead.
For everything we shared,
The dreams, the laughter,
And the tears,
I love you with a "Special Love"
That deepens every year.

Everyday we get emails with very common questions, and I thought that to better help you with your vacation planning to answer a few of these more common questions and help you have ease of mind and plan better.

First of all Grand Caribe is only approx 1.5-2 miles away from the closest supermarket and town.

- Water Taxi (Coastal Express) has a set schedule and passes by Grand Caribe every other hour and $5 USd  one way, $9 USd round trip per person; front desk and /or our concierge can arrange pick ups.

- No, there are no necessary mandatory vaccinations for a trip to Belize; but consult your doctor if you wish

5. Whats the weather like in Belize?
- We only have two seasons, wet or dry. This pretty much sums it up, we stay pretty steady in the 30s Celsius or 80s Fahrenheit...only taking a dip in Dec/Jan and a spike in April and August.

6. Whats the voltage/ Wattage in Belize?
-  Belize is on the same volt/watt systems as the USA or Canada.  110V, if you are coming from Europe you will need an adapter.

No, the time in Belize does not change.

There are two ways to get to San Pedro from Belize City. The first and easiest but more expensive is a flight from the international airport or municipal airport to San Pedro.
Second way is via water taxi, you would have to catch a taxi from the airport to the water terminal.

Why not say (I DO) at Grand Caribe

                                               Welcome back newlyweds.

Mr. and Mrs. Chevis just got married on our beautiful beach about one month ago and have returned to spend a few days with us.

If you are wondering whats new in Belize. then let me put in the loop. This is a long weekend cause its Labour Day for Belize and a perfect time for a quick get away and the chance to take advantage of our Summer Special Discounts.

Just imagine relaxing and drinking a margarita or a tropical pina colada from our on site bar and grill (Foot Prints) and enjoying a warm sunny day by the pool.

(I know what I will be doing this weekend).      Do you?

One more day at Paradise

The Easter rush is over and all of the staff is looking forward to next year.  One more day at Grand Caribe is like starting your first day of vacation, you see new faces and more exciting things to do.

Please view the video I just found on YouTube from one of our past guest. Ambergris Caye is truly one amazing place, being near the sea and the sunny days at the beach are like a never ending vacation.

If you walk around town and ask any of the locals how it is it to live in San Pedro they will say "Our tropical island is like being in Paradise their is always something new to see and do every day". If the locals say that about our island, imagine what you would say.

OK, I think I better get back to work. Just a reminder or a thought.... (If you are planning on visiting us at Grand Caribe or you are already on your way, I recommend that you try the Chicken Fajitas at our on site bar and grill Foot Prints - That's what I will be having for lunch today).

Enjoy your day and I will keep you updated with all the new events and fun stuff to do at Grand Caribe and in Town.

A HAPPY EASTER FOR ALL

As staff we work when everyone else is on vacation, its a part of the job. Our job is to make your vacation a great one, no matter the time of year. We take pride in doing it all, so as to make your vacation as smooth and as comfortable as possible, this is especially true of days such as today (Easter).

We all know that everyone in the service industry works holidays, but its very likely that we at Grand Caribe have an easier time than others working on these days because we see the results of our hard work right through our office windows. We see our guests having a great time and know that we helped make it possible, because we are their problem solvers, personal assistants and all around everyday heroes.  To be in this business and to work at Grand Caribe means being a people person, outgoing and genuine. We are proud of who we are and where we work and know we provide a service of class, convenience and comfort. We are in this industry because we get joy from seeing others happy and all I see through my office window are happy faces!

A vacation for everyone

My daughter and I in the pool at Grand Caribe
At 2yrs, my daughter learnt to swim in their great
kid friendly pool!
Grand Caribe has the uncanny ability to be an "everything in one" resort that provides the perfect setting for any type of vacation.
A person can come and disconnect him or herself from the world. Many times winter or work can become overwhelming and Belize is the answer. Peaceful and relaxed all our vacationers have a great time.
Families (some what forced in the case of many teenagers) get closer. Moms and Dads can connect with their kids because they are all disconnected, no constant texting, phone calls or tweeting. With plenty of teenage friendly activities, parents and their teens share experiences and have fun together. Jet skiing, para sailing, snorkeling, family tours and much more are great opportunities for bonding.

Now let me make something clear, just because teenagers and kids enjoy it here and the activities involved  that doesn't mean that a couple can't have a great time. The fact of the matter is that everyone enjoys these activities.

So Belize, San Pedro and specifically Grand Caribe offer people with the opportunity to get away from it all, have a new experience while disconnecting from the outside day to day world and connecting with their loved ones.

Grand Caribe is a source of escape even for the local Belizean.  I know this for a fact, because I can see it from my very office window, my view at this moment is of a Belizean family of three generations (almost all staying in one of our four bedrooms): grandparents , their three sons and their wives and children. The kids are all playing in the kid friendly shallow pool while the adults lounge in chairs tanning and laughing. All of them are of different ages, keeping it simple and having a great time. A no fuss family reunion with an atmosphere of ease, relaxation and fun.

**** Did you know that Grand Caribe not only blogs, we also have a twitter account. https://twitter.com/GrandCaribeBz and a facebook account : https://www.facebook.com/GrandCaribeBelize; not to mention we are on TripAdvisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g291961-d1821157-Reviews-Grand_Caribe_Belize_Resort_and_Condominiums-Ambergris_Caye_Belize_Cayes.html
